In reply to Steve The Geek. thanks, for the response. Yes my shipment is still in the"preparing your item for shipment" for two days now and its supposed to be at my house by tomorrow (2/10) so I guess I will wait and see. Just NOT a happy consumer here.

The event in California was a marketing stunt. And then Fry’s decided to sell them quickly as Samsung did not force a launch date on it. Is your best buy order saying preparing for shipment in the details ? If it’s still at the first stage today at noon, I would give them a call. They are shipping their orders, I saw most of the people on the forum getting a tracking number even those who ordered yesterday.

You are luck to have ordered with Best Buy, Amazon is saying that some of the day 1 orders are now backorder until April ! They are probably wrong, but let’s see.

I’m sure you should not cancel, you’ll regret it 😉

This is has been the biggest cluster$%^k of a release ever!!I had mine pre-ordered at Best Buy since January 7th, but people can walk into a store in California and buy them, but my pre-order is still “processing”. What the hell Samsung?? This is why release dates are so important because its unfair to consumers not to be able to get the product they paid for at the same time as somebody else. Because of this fiasco, I’m actually thinking of cancelling my pre-order and holding out for a OPPO UHD BD Player!

In reply to tim. The player can bitstream DTS-HD Master Audio so it will pass DTS:X to your receiver without any issue, of course you still need your receiver to handle it.
