By: tim https://www.nextgenhometheater.com/2016/02/14/ultra-hd-blu-ray-first-impressions/#comment-2537 Mon, 15 Feb 2016 17:37:06 +0000 https://www.nextgenhometheater.com/?p=571#comment-2537 this is one beautifull review with excellent details and i’m going to do my upmost best to write a decent answer to you my friend. altough the technology isnt at its full strength yet, it’s clear how hard they worked through reading your review to get it done for the big audience, not just the for the early adaptors. thats a good thing because that finally means that we home theater lovers can share what we have building for years to those who are ‘virgins’ to get them more excited! updating seems not needed for this year if i read your review but being too confident about it is always wrong in this business. but i like the idea of a finished product without firmware-need-to-be-installed stickers on the box. and more importantly like i allready thought, the player should be capable to downscale without any problems but it depends on the movie like you said. i have that problem with upscaling 😉 and finally, the 10 bit panel is much much better than 8 bit panel in my opinion but some people do not see the difference. i think those people have seen to much netflix i guess… those downstream sites arent capable of showing 10 bit and full potential and it will stay like that for a while.

now when i read all of this i can taste your uhd player, i can smell the shiny new technology coming straight from the hard working people to get this challenge done from when it was just someones idea on someones piece of paper. i am excited and i can’t fully understand what this means for hometheater enthousiasts. i cant wait to watch some older movies with uhd treatment with atmos or dts:x… there is a huge library waiting to be treated with the most care and love for film that needs to be shared with us!
