It’s been pretty much confirmed that Die Hard, from The 20th Century Fox, will be coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 15. No details yet on the HDR format or if an object-based audio remix will be included, I will let you know as soon as the information is available.

The Fate of the Furious
The 8th Furious movie will be released by Universal on Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on July 11 with a DTS:X soundtrack.
The Lincoln Lawyer
Strange catalog choice from Lionsgate, the movie will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray on August 15 with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Alien: Convenant
No date or any details yet, but the movie from Fox has been confirmed on Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Logan, Fate of the Furious and King Kong confirmed on UHD Blu-ray
Quick update for three new titles coming on Ultra HD Blu-ray in the upcoming months.

We already knew this Fox title was coming on the format on May 23, we now have confirmation that this will be with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.

The latest Furious movie from Universal has been confirmed for Ultra HD Blu-ray, but no date or audio details yet.
King Kong (2005)
The Peter Jackson movie from Universal will get a brand new Ultra HD release on July 11 with a new DTS:X soundtrack.
Prometheus Coming On Ultra HD Blu-ray

I’m sadly playing catchup a little bit here, but here are the last two weeks announcement on next generation home theater formats.
xXx: Return of Xander Cage
The movie from Paramount was now confirmed with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack on both the Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray editions, out on May 16.
Monster Trucks
Sadly the 4k release of the movie seems to have been cancelled at this point by Paramount, but at least the Blu-ray has been confirmed with Dolby Atmos on April 11.
The Great Wall
Both the Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray releases of the Universal Studios movie will come with Dolby Atmos when released on May 23.
La La Land
The almost movie of the year oscar winner from Lionsgate will get a Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray release in Dolby Atmos on April 25.
Fifty Shades Darker
The Universal movie will get a brand new DTS:X sountrack when released on May 9 on both Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Mummy Ultimate Trilogy
As I thought in my last post, it’s now official that the Universal Studios trilogy will get a DTS:X soundtrack for all three movies when released on May 16.
Despicable Me / Despicable Me 2
Both Universal animated movies will see a new Ultra HD release on June 6 both with a new DTS:X mix.
Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Both 20th Century Fox movies will see light of day on Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 9.

With CES this week, there’s been a good level of confirmation of Ultra HD Blu-ray titles from the studios.
Underworld Blood Wars
The new action title from Sony will be released this Spring with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. And from the Amazon listing, it seems the disc will be UHD + 3D Blu-ray as we’ve seen with Ghostbusters.
Catalog Titles From Sony
Sony is preparing new 4K releases for the following titles : Dracula, The Fifth Element and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It’s fait to say that the first two titles will have their Atmos soundtrack from their recent Blu-ray release.
Sing
The animated movie from Universal was confirmed on UltraHD Blu-ray with a Spring release.
Assassin’s Creed
Confirmed through Amazon listing, the action movie from the 20th Century Fox will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray
Allied
The movie from Paramount was also confirmed through Amazon for a release on Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Hidden Figures
The movie on NASA from 20th Century Fox is also coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray
Collateral Beauty
The movie starring Will Smith from Warner will be available on UHD Blu-ray this Spring.
New UHD Blu-ray confirmed this week
As we are getting closer to the end of the year, here are some new Ultra HD Blu-ray releases confirmed by the studios.
Accountant, The
Warner now confirmed the movie would be released on January 10, but only with a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track.
Birth of a Nation, The
The movie was now confirmed by Fox on Ultra HD Blu-ray for January 10 with a DTS-HD MA 5.1 track.
Keeping Up With The Joneses
The movie from the 20th Century Fox now has a release date of January 17 on UHD Blu-ray and it’s now confirmed it will not have object based audio either, with a DTS-HD MA 7.1 track.
New Ultra HD Blu-rays Confirmed
A quick post today to confirm some new releases that are now announced or were leaked by Amazon for Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Arrival
Paramount confirmed that Arrival, from the Quebec director Devis Villeneuve, would get an Ultra HD Blu-ray release into the new year. No audio details yet.
John Wick
Lionsgate will release the action movie John Wick on UHD Blu-ray on February 7th, just in time for the sequel to launch in theaters. It will of course includes it’s really solid Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
We already knew the movie was coming on UHD, it nows has a date, December 13, and also a confirmation that the 4K version will be offered by Fox with Dolby Atmos
